There are few foods that go together better than pastry and fruit. I mean who doesn't love the buttery pastry and tart sweetness provided by the fruit? Today we’re sharing how to make one of the best combinations of them all. Peach Cobbler.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
4 cups worth of sliced peaches (canned is fine. You want them to be peeled as well)
1 cup of sugar
½ a cup of water
1 stick of butter (melted)
1 ½ cup of self-rising flour
1 ½ cup of milk
1 cup of sugar (yes, separate from the one above)
How You’ll Make It:
- Preheat your oven to 350. Place your melted butter in a baking dish
- Combine your peaches, water, and 1 of the cups of sugar into a pan. Mix it well. Bring contents to a boil and keep it on the heat for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Mix the other cup of sugar with your flour and milk until combined. Pour this into your baking dish with the butter. Spoon in your peaches and pour in the syrup.
- Bake for 40 minutes. Once done let your Cobbler cool and serve topped with vanilla ice cream.
